Peonies

When you shoot yourself in the foot there is blood, not nectar.
If stolen it is bitter and bites, nectar.
If given it is sweet and invites more nectar.
"Help" or not, the blossoms push past the nectar.
If you hoard the juice it rots --let go, nectar.
Blossoms make deals with the ants and nectar;
they save what is needed for themselves -nectar.
...and in the end get what they want: nectar.

People trying to get at this nectar.
Can't be bought or sold, nectar.
More like honey or gold -- nectar.
Watch as the blossom unfolds, sweet nectar!
